The K4u+ four channel KM switch is ideal for workflow productivity where users have multiple displays, with a single keyboard, mouse to connect to multiple workstations or desktops. For these advanced workflows, the displays are dedicated to a specific workstation or desktop and only the keyboard, mouse, USB and audio are switched. Combine K4u+ switches with Amulet Hotkey remote workstation and zero client KVM extension solutions for flexible, agile and highly-available workspaces with no distance limitations. This enables large and productive workspaces by using a single keyboard and mouse for up to 16 desktops or workstations that can be a mix of local or remote workstations, virtual workstations, virtual desktops, cloud managed desktops, laptops, PC’s and legacy/closed systems.
Amulet Hotkey Mouse Point, included with the K4u+, enables a seamless workspace regardless of the number of underlying workstations or desktops by automatically switching channels when the mouse is dragged from one screen to another. Alternatively, users can rapidly switch workstation channels using mouse clicks, keyboard shortcuts or an optional external K4 controller.
The K4u + is specifically designed for use in mission and business critical applications where reliability and security are paramount. The K4u+ enhances system security by preventing channel cross-talk or key-logging while supporting Smart Card readers and intelligent Smart Card switching. The K4u+ includes a power cord lock to prevent accidental removal to help ensure continuous operation.

SaverSync™: Intelligent screen-saver management to ensure all displays that are part of the user workflow remain visible while there is activity on any one channel. This feature supports corporate screen saver and green power policies while boosting user productivity.
Hot-plug port: Allows a transparent connection of a USB peripheral such as a printer, camera, or memory stick to an attached workstation. The connection can be fixed to a specific computer or switched by the user between workstations.
Smart Card: Support for USB Smart Card readers and keyboards with integrated readers. Intelligent Smart Card connection management includes a hotkey combination to emulate card removal/insertion to simplify user login and authentication.
Focus indicator LEDs: An optional set of four LED indicators that show which monitor is currently being addressed by keyboard and mouse.
K4 controller: An optional plug-in controller for simple workstation channel selection. It also provides switch operation when the K4u+ is secured in a locked cabinet or cable tray.
